March 21, 2013

Blue Horses on the Mediterranean near Denia, Spain. The sea was very active that day. Watercolour done in my sketch book, painting just finished.

Castillo de Dénia

Entrance to the castle in Denia (Spain)…I love the colours here and the Moorish design of the entry. This scene seems tecturally rich too. And the early morning light gave this photo some nice shadows.

Sunny street in Denia (Espana)

It looks like I added colour to this–but actually, I subtracted colour. I like the cat, who seems to have had enough sun for now and is heading for the shade. This piece is in an art exhibit in Redding, California right now.

Kitten waiting for a sale in old Denia, Espana by Phil Dynan

“Se Vende”

Early morning in old Denia, I saw this little creature under a “For Sale” sign…waiting for the new owners? Gonna be a long wait little guy….

JLD – Alright  -A Sunny song by my little brother – I like the way it goes with the sunny warmth the kitten is enjoying…

Sitting on the Mediterranean

A watercolour “sketch” from my notebook, just back from Denia (Espana). What a great place. Left me feeling inspired to draw and paint more – even though I was doing it everyday. Cats in the old part of Denia – interesting and colourful doorways, the Denia Castle and the people of the town.. Love it!
